Hypocrisy highlights

U.S. Attorney General William Barr has stated that President Trump’s tweets about cases involving the Justice Department “make it impossible” for him to do his job. What he actually means is that Trump’s bragging and crowing make it very hard to hide what Barr is up to (putting the fix in for cases involving Trump cronies) behind the scenes.

The situation is so flagrantly outside the norms that over 2000 former Department of Justice officials have signed an open letter demanding that Barr resign.

More horrible people in Texas

Here is the headline to start you off (article is linked):

Texas Lawmakers Are Considering The Death Penalty For Women Who Get Abortions

House Bill 896 aims to criminalize all abortions and defines the procedure as homicide, which is punishable by death in Texas.
Obviously, these people have no respect for the separation of church and state.  But beyond that, this is just another example of the desire by too many Texans to turn Texas into a theocracy.  The Texas Taliban should move to Afghanistan.
If you think Trumpism is bad, wait until you live in a theocracy.

Trumpism = Perversion

According to the Oxford Living Dictionaries:

perversion

noun
1  Distortion or corruption of the original course, meaning, or state of something.

 Some examples:

The American fascists are most easily recognized by their deliberate perversion of truth and fact. Their newspapers and propaganda carefully cultivate every fissure of disunity, every crack in the common front against fascism.
Henry Wallace

No oppression is so heavy or lasting as that which is inflicted by the perversion and exorbitance of legal authority.
Samuel Johnson

When you have both parties who will not find ways to compromise, who won’t meet in the middle, you have paralysis. It’s the perversion of idealism.
Beau Willimon

We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.
Abraham Lincoln

Here is another web comic I am really enjoying.  Titled Strange Attractors, its is a retro style sci-fi/space opera tale.  The story is character driven and I really like the artwork, especially the comic book covers used at chapter starts.  Check it out.  I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend some time (a lot of time) at the Museum of Lost Things?  Now if only one of our local comic shops had a complete set of Spicy Space Stories
